Inspired by old doors, medinas, zellige and the gestures of Moroccan craftsmanship, Derrière les Portes explores what lies behind the façades: the homes, the families, the memories and the stories that time cannot completely erase.

I kept the original stencils used to create it: the five door stencils and the zellige stencil.
Used directly to build the artwork, they will never be used again.
It is neither a reproduction nor a mere decoration.
It is a physical archive of its birth.
The original archives are handed over with the artwork, witnesses to its story and its making.
I will travel with it personally.
When Derrière les Portes leaves my studio, I will personally take care of its journey and hand it directly to its collector.
