The story of the artwork

“Porte de Chefchaouen”

“Porte de Chefchaouen” pays tribute to the iconic doors of Chefchaouen, the famous blue city in northern Morocco. Inspired by the peaceful atmosphere of its lanes and the richness of its architectural heritage, this artwork celebrates a beauty where simplicity, light and tradition meet. The shades of blue, combined with the reliefs of the texture, evoke serenity, depth and the singular soul of the city.

With this composition, I am not only trying to depict a door, but to reveal what it stands for: a passage towards memory, inner journeys and contemplation. The textures, made entirely by hand, extend this feeling by giving the material an almost architectural presence, inviting everyone to build their own interpretation of the artwork.

I do not paint what I see. I sculpt what I remember feeling.
