The story of the artwork

“Rappel de Couleurs”

“Rappel de Couleurs” is a reflection on how our visual environment has changed and on the place of colour in our lives. Inspired by the rich patterns, materials and palettes that once defined our homes and everyday objects, this artwork invites us to rediscover an aesthetic diversity that has gradually given way to more neutral, uniform surroundings.

With this composition, I am not only trying to assemble shapes and colours, but to revive a collective memory and celebrate the vitality they bring to our eyes. Each shade becomes the fragment of an emotion, a memory or a moment of life. The textures, made entirely by hand, reinforce this sense of movement and depth, inviting everyone to reconnect with the richness of their imagination and to build their own interpretation of the artwork.

I do not paint what I see. I sculpt what I remember feeling.
